How to Load or Change the Label Roll of My Brother Label Printer?

Steps

Step 1: Hold the label printer by the front, and firmly lift the cover to open it.

Step 2: Place the label roll into the cartridge guide (1)

• Make sure that the spool arm (2) is inserted firmly in the cartridge guide.

• Make sure the stabilizer (3) slides into the hole in the label printer.

Step 3: Thread the label roll through the label output slot

• Line up the side of the label roll with the vertical edge of the label output slot.

• Check if the label roll is threaded straight so that the labels are not skewed.

• Push the first label through the label output slot until the end comes out of the slot.

Step 4: Close the cover.

Important tips:

  • Always remove printed labels from the printer to prevent jamming.
  • To keep the printer in good condition, remove label rolls when not in use and always keep the compartment cover closed to prevent dust and debris.

How to Install/Change a New Brother Label Roll?

If you’ve received your Brother label rolls but dont know how to install/change it, you’re not alone—this has been a common issue as the cartridges seem not reusable. If you purchase a brand-new cartridge that was not assembled previously:

Step 1: Insert the stabilizer into the spool 

Step 2: Insert a new label roll into the spool.

Step 3: Align the the spool arm with the notches

Installation is completed. Easy and fast!

If you already have a cartridge and need to change a new roll:

Step 1: Take out your cartridge

Step 2: Hold the stabilize firmly and pull the spool arm out 

Step 3put the new label roll arrow face down onto the spool

Step 4slot the spool arm onto the spool
